To be clear, these are J Albert's Conclusions and not the Conclusion of any other person or entity. Yes, I am going to make some insinuations based on what I see from the data. You can make your own determinations from the data and post it here so others can see. In The 2010 Legatum Prosperity Index that was presented on the 26th of October, shows the United States of American is ranked at #10 for the 2010. Is this good for America? I personally don’t feel it is, especially since we have dropped from a tie in first place in 2007 Prosperity Index Report. In fact, since 2007 we have moved from Ranking #1 to #4 in 2008, the 2009 Prosperity Index Report shows a Ranking of #9 to where we are today, at #10 out of 110 countries.

Table 1 – Data from Original Documents
As you can see, the over all ranking is the only common point of data that can be found across the years, which clearly shows that the United States is moving in directions that are not in the best interest of the Country. In an email from a Research Assistant with the Legatum Institute, they have taken the 2009 data and ran it through the 2010 matrix. This shows some big differences in areas that surprised me.

Table 2 – 2009 Data updated to 2010 matrix from Research Assistant of the Legatum Institute
As the movement from 2009 to 2010 is not as great when using this view, we still have dropped 9 places since 2007 and 6 rankings from 2008. The only attribution I can give for this drastic of change is our political structure has been altered. Altered in a way where we have all Democrats in the two primary branches of government, the Congressional and Executive branches to be specific. Read the report and grasp the importance of the data. The World's perception of the United States has changed between 2008 and 2009 basically because our President consistently put the US Down to our enemy's and allies. Also during this time frame, congress began taking huge portions of the American Businesses and placing them under government control which put businesses into the frame of mind to hold on to their cash and see what would be happening.
In looking at Table 2, we can see an area to be concerned. Our Economy should be leading the world, not ranked 14th in the world. The fact that over the 4 years since the Legatum Institute has been researching this data and reporting publicly, The United States has fallen and not consistently. Our Rankings have fallen between 2008 and 2009 9 points over all. The only bright spot is our Health which is #1 (ranked on the old scale at #27), remained consistent. I am looking forward to seeing what is going to happen between the end of the 2010 reporting period data gathering and the 2011 data gathering, especially if more effects of the Health Care hit the report.
In looking at the data, from 2007 to now, the purse strings of the United States has not been with Conservatives or Republicans, but with a Democratic House, Senate and starting in 2009 with both Executive and Congressional Branches have been dominated by the Liberal/Democratic party. I know that the President and Congress have been saying that all of the problems are that caused by former President Bush, but the reality is that the President has little or no control of spending without using the Veto. Any spending that has hit the budgets over the 4 years has come from Liberals, Democrats, and Progressives who have put forth their agenda, singularly.
You can deny the facts, which I really love. President Obama has not put forth many, if any bills so that he can say these programs came from Congress. This is plausible deniability for the President. He hopes we have bad memories, which is difficult to have with the internet and bloggers and reporters using the internet to shoot the facts out for all to see. He has yet to put for a budget for this years physical budget. That does come from the President, but the House of Representatives can change it as they see fit and send it off to the Senate in any format they choose and then if the Senate agrees, they will send it off to the President to sign off or Veto. Would be nice if the President had line item veto power, but we do not give him that power, only sign or veto all.
I would like to know what the Government is doing to get the United States back to a number 1 ranking in these areas and reported on by Legatum Institute. I know all Americans feel that we should be at a #1 Ranking, though Progressives make it should like we should all be equal or at least the US worse than anyone because we have been to prosperous as a nation. How about this. We tax 99% anyone who has US Citizenship for their net worth of any amount above $500 Million. That would also go for any person that tries to invest in the Political Process for any resources inside or outside of the United States, thus including wealth hidden in off shore accounts.
The problem with our tax structure is that we vilify those in the upper 1% to 5% who pay the largest portion of the Taxes and give people that do not make any money a refund every year. Not every person is paying their fair share. Sorry that I don't agree with the argument that people on welfare can't pay taxes in an equal amount. If there is a tax on consumption instead of income, everyone would be paying equally, which is very Constitutional. Allowing anyone to hide money or to get paid off shore is illegal in my book and that includes any person that in an actor, producer, or whom ever else is part of the the multi-million dollar entertainment group that is pushing for these laws but hides or gets their money from off shore business entity's. Same should be said for any citizen who used off shore accounts to hide or to invest and hide profits in the off shore accounts.
America needs to get back into the business of Production. A tax should be added for any work that goes overseas, including call centers. These were American jobs that American companies had to send off shore because of Unions wanting to much from American Companies. Yes, it seems to always go back to the groups that are pushing the Progressive agenda. The United States has no right to be more prosperous than any other country on the earth. Well Progressives, lets see you dole up and dump your money into the coffers of the United States before you start telling Americans how to live and what to do with our money.
This is J Albert and I feel we should be totally pissed off that our government does not want us to be the MOST Prosperous Country. What about you? Are you happy moving down in the list and not being the Number 1? I am NOT. I want the United States of America to be the most Prosperous country in the world.
