We all MUST learn and know the difference between NEWS and OPINION so that when TV, Cable, News Papers, and News Magazines say they are giving you News, is it news or is it opinions. If you do not know the difference, the Media or "special interest" groups will be able to control you with their lies, opinion as news and fact, and partial truths. I hope to show you the difference.

Getting upset as you journey through the Opinions is expected and hopefully will generate a conversation. Likewise, there will be others who start jumping up and down, laughing, knowing exactly what I am saying and totally getting it. If you don't, you can laugh along for fun anyway. You got on board, finish the ride.

Blaming The Wrong Group For Washington DC Gridlock

Isn't if funny how the Liberal Press, the President, and the President's staff are all blaming Congress (specifically Republicans) for the Gridlock in the Senate and House of Representatives. Isn't America smart enough to see through he rouse that the Democrats, specifically the President and his staff, are attempting to put forward as their campaigns ramp up for the 2012 Elections?

The tactic and rouse seems to be successful since Congress has an approval rating of around 11% to 12% and the President has an approval rating of about 45%. Wasn't it the President that said and says, "If Congress does not pass my Jobs Bill, the economy is their fault,"or words to that effect?

The Presidents "Jobs Bill" is nothing more than another Stimulus package. We do not have the money to do a half a billion dollars or more Stimulus when the last package failed miserably. When our debt is at close to $15 billion, that equals to around $45,454 owed by each and every American citizen. Read that closely. Not families but each and every man, woman, and child who are American Citizens.

How did we get to this debt crisis? I can give you simple answers or difficult answers. I am going to try the Simple Answers here. Over the last 30 to 40 years the Congress (both parties) said that it is every American's RIGHT to own a home. So both parties pressed for laws that would force banks and lending Institutions to begin providing Mortgages for persons who could not afford a Mortgage. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were created to push these sub prime mortgages onto the banking system.

A sub prime mortgage is basically a mortgage that has little chance to be paid off and the loan was based on a mortgage that was given below the Prime Interest Rate. Americans began to miss understand the value of building up good to great credit and saving for a down payment. So in 2008, early 2009 the housing bubble (false high home values) burst and the banks and those who held the Sub Prime Mortgages were going down fast. That is when Stimulus 1 was passed and "To Big To Fail" was coined

Another area where those left of center were pushing was in the area of Poverty Programs. Americans have invested over $10 Trillion for the eradication of Poverty in our country since Jimmy Carter was President. Yet today, we have more Americans living under the Poverty Level than ever in our country's history. 90% or more of the programs created were giving away money to those in Poverty, not allowing them to earn the money. Now those that are on these programs have been on them for most of their Adult life.

Every time I or any Conservative have said that "programs based on earning money, not being given money, helps build self esteem and pride because of their achievements," I have been told that I am or sound racist, stupid, and/or unsympathetic. Well anyone that knows me well can attest to the fact that I am not racist to anyone but those that are racist or throw out the race card at every turn. Maybe we need to become more unsympathetic in some areas where poverty is concerned. I can promise you this, that no person will go to bed hungry, without covers and a place to sleep if they step forward and ask for help from their Church and other civic groups.

That is the American way. I have read stories and listened to my grandparents talk about people who were without or low on food. They would ask around their area for work for food (never money) and those in the community would step up and give them some work to do to earn it. Even my Grandfather told me that if you give a man money and it is not earned, the money has little or no value. The money was FREE and not earned. Maybe we need to look at our past so that as we go forward into our future we revise our methods to ensure that we don't go through this down turn ever again.
