It’s Called American Pride
by: J AlbertWhen Washington stood in the front of the boat
He knew his men needed him there as they crossed
He dreamed not of failures, not of victory or fame
He dreamed of honor and hope where freedom would reign
In World War I and in World War II,
And in Korea they fought to save a world from the hate
No blood was too precious, no one ever knew
How our blood ran so pure, so Red, White and Blue
It’s called American Pride
And Liberty Wins
Dr King gave us hope when he share with us his dream
His hope and his love did not die in that scene
We still hear him today sharing his dream of love, hope and peace
We learned the hard way that together we’re equal, together we’re great
It’s called American Pride
And Freedom Wins
Its for the losers we fight, it’s in their fight where we’ll win
It’s the American way, to never give in
No battle is too small; we don’t fight on a whim
We stand all together and fight to the end
It’s called American Pride
And Justice Wins
In the jungles of Nam and Cambodia too
We stood shoulder to shoulder to fight for the few
No one told us we’d win, but we all always knew in our hearts
When American’s fight, we should fight from our heart
It’s called American Pride
And Equality Wins.
We’ve blackened our eyes from inside ourselves
We dared to believe of our greatness and wealth
When others are lost or their walls have caved in
We know we’re freedom’s last hope, and until the journey ends
It’s called American Pride
And Peace Wins
So Remember- Its for the losers we fight, it’s in their fight where we’ll win
It’s the American way, to never give in
No battle too small; we don’t fight on a whim
We all stand together and fight to the end
It’s called American Pride
And Liberty, Freedom, Justice, Equality, and Peace Wins
