My Opinion of Article:Reuters.com Article: Romney staff spent nearly $100,000 to hide records
It seems like the Liberal Media has picked former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich as the one that President Obama can beat in a general election based on the number of articles that are finally showing up as negative to former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.
Is this good for the Republican Party? I think it is. I feel that Mitt Romney is not showing his true face to the public. The many articles that are showing up about the Romney staff clearing out any electronic copies of the Governor's time in office shows that there is something for Mitt Romney to hide. Oh, there should be a back-up copy of all servers at the state level per "The Sarbanes–Oxley Act of 2002. Just because the hard drives and computers were purchased by the former Governor does not mean the state doesn't have a copy of the files in its back-up and recovery system. They are to be maintained for 7 to 10 years.
If the state of Massachusetts does not have a back-up copy of the files, then the state and person ordering the destruction of the data has violated the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. If so the person or persons ordering this should be brought up on charges and the person who allowed the destruction is at fault, also.
To say I am not a Mitt Romney fan is a fair statement. This is the reason that businesses and the government were placed under tight controls of data per the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
If this is in fact a reality that the electronic data from computers and servers were intentionally erased and all back-ups were destroyed then former Governor Mitt Romney broke the law by allowing this to be done or ordering this to be done or both.
